out in a clean air environment.
Telecine: 16mm movies to DVD: The digital
film transfer process scans each frame of the 16mm film
directly to our Apple computers using a LED light source.This
method of scanning film produces no hot spots and no
heat damage to the film. Once
the cine film is on our Apple computers we can transfer
your footage to DVD, Mini DV tape or DVCAM in our video
post production editing suites.
16mm film is a professional film
format that comes in silent or sound format. Video Image
Productions can provide a professional 16mm film to
DVD transfer.
Please note we do not charge extra for sound film transfer.
Video
Image Productions also provide a 16mm Cine Transfer
to DVD for the commercial telecine market as
well as for the home user.
Video
Image productions can transfer your 16mm cine
film to DVD or HDV High definition video tape.
We can also provide data files on external hard
drives or Data DVD's for PC or Mac for those wishing
to edit there cine film themselves.

If you prefer VIP can transfer your
16mm to hardrive . this allows you to edit your
film on your PC or Mac. We can supply the hard drive
or you can supply one yourself. Please state the
file format you require. AVI, Quicktime HDV etc.
We can also supply the data files on Data DVD but
please be aware that they only hold 4.7 Gig of data.

There
is no minimum order, discounts available on larger orders.
VIP charge depending on weight for recorded delivery
postage and packing back to the customer. Please post
your 16mm cine film special delivery or by courier, cheque's
are made payable to Video Image Productions.
As

provide a pick up and delivery service from your work

The legendary Swiss Camera maker Bolex is on board hoping to launch a new digital camera. The camera will be named the D16. The project is being financed by kickstarter which is an online fund raising platform for creative projects. The camera will feature a Kodak sensor and will have super 16mm and 16mm resolution settings. The standard lens option will be C-mount with optional EF mount for Canon lens as well as PL and B4 mounts.

Hints: DVD option: Once your 16 mm Cine
film is converted to DVD there are a variety of
ripping software packages available at very reasonable
prices.
This software enables the user to extract tracks
from the DVD.
Once extracted the user can import the files into
programs such as Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro.
You can now edit, add music, graphics etc.
The finished edited footage can be burnt to DVD
if you have a DVD writer.
Mini-DV tape option: Another option for you is
if you own a Mini DV video camera we can Transfer
your 16mm Cine Film to MiniDV video tape.
Once on MiniDV tape you can capture the footage
Via a firewire (i link) connection on you PC and
again using a program such as Adobe Premier or
Final Cut Pro and edit the footage.
Because we are a Broadcast video production company
we would provide you with back up if you had any
problems editing or ripping the digital footage.
We found that performing our transfer 16mm
Cine Film Transfer to DVD the best way
when we archived 16mm films for Arundel Castle.
Parts of the film footage were converted to Mini
DV tape and DVCAM.
