Case Study:

A local Museum in Sussex came to us with a public information video showing the re building of Seaford`s sea defences. Due to the age of the video it was on a high band analogue video tape format called S-VHS. The Seaford Museum wanted us to ultise our video encoding skills convert there original video production master tape to DVD to be shown at the Museum and copies made to be available for the public to buy. Video Image Productions converted the S-VHS video production from analogue format to DVCAM digital video format. From there the digital footage was captured onto the computers hard disk through our video editing software. Whilst in the editing suite the video and audio were cleaned . Once we were happy with the finished look, the video was encoded into Mpeg-2 video format for DVD authoring.

Using state of the art Apple G5 workstations we can provide DVD authoring UK straight from our video editing software timeline.

During DVD production we can also include interactive menus ,graphics, sounds and even web site links. Video Image Productions can provide video encoding to DVD production using various bit rates. Now that the video footage is converted to Mpeg-2 format we can proceed with DVD authoring. All the menu graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop then imported into Apple DVD Studio Pro (as shown above).

For this project the client required a vintage look to the DVD authoring UK so old style picture frames were created in Photoshop as well as animated faded film look to the main DVD menu system. Once the Mpeg video encoding and DVD production was completed a still image was lifted from the original video production, then printed directly onto the DVD face. Using our DVD duplication facitilies we duplicated 200 copies for the Museum to sell.
